VAGINAS! PERIODS! REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS! The broads of Broadcast, your friendly neighborhood feminist podcast, are not afraid to say those words! And they will educate and entertain you on a variety of female-related topics, regardless of what genitalia you have. Don’t be ashamed, don’t be afeared, BroadCast is here!
Chelsea has many jobs. She dresses in colonial garb and gives tours of Boston, she plays DW (a dream role, to be sure) at the local Children’s Museum, and she teaches impressionable youths. Some deem her unkillable because she survived an insanely rare lung injury, but please don’t test this theory. Her current goal is to become a teacher full time. She is a fetch servant to a neurotic corgi named Maestro and she has broken into ancient ruins before.
Emma does NOT like sharks. She DOES like sushi, dogs, naps, books, history, and women. Men are ok too. Jewelry is the tops. Emma’s dream job is being a professional siren–singing sea shanties to strapping sailors in order to lure them to their watery demises. Until then, she is the only historical tour guide in downtown Boston who sings colonial era protest songs to her tourists. It’s not protecting the President, but it’s pretty fun.
Julia is human woman who spends most of her time as a professional colonial lady. When she is not busy convincing tourists to the Boston area that she looks really good for a 258-year-old, she enjoys reading, goat whispering, and being angry about the small things in life.
Rebecca is a general do-er of creative (and handy!) things. She strongly believes in: photoshopping poorly as a comedic device, messy hair, managing people’s expectations as a way of life, and absurdist culture. If you have a question, she probably has an answer. And if she doesn’t have an answer she’ll definitely get you in the right ballpark of where to look for said answer and probably continue to secretly research it for you anyways mostly because she can not help herself. She loves ignorant hip hop and animal based puns.
